The Ecological Entrepreneur is a company established in 2020, born out a simple belief: we can make sustainability self-evident by bringing economy and ecology together. This is necessary to maintain our current level of prosperity and well-being and to protect our natural world.
As a society, we have forgotten to think multifaceted. Organisations do not know where to start in reducing their environmental impact. On the other hand, many sustainable solutions already exist but experience challenges with their commercial scale.

The Ecological Entrepreneur is born! Our founder Sebastiaan started the company, and although covid hit us all, he managed to lay the first bricks for helping ecological companies with their commercial growth, and we hired our first two employees.
Our co-founder Marit came on board as operational director, aiming to start the further build-out of the company. We conducted a first market study with graduates from AMS and settled in our new Antwerp office in Plein Publiek and later in an old historical warehouse at ‘Het MAS’. Furthermore, our organisation grew into a young, motivated team of 6.
A year of full of development. This year we laid the foundation and go-to-market of our two other services in sustainability and digital dashboarding. Together with KdG, we conducted a solid market research, and welcomed 3 international graduates from AMS. At the end of the year, our team grew out to a steady team of 8 people.
A year for scaling and growth. Although the year is in full motion, we welcomed 8 new team members!
2024 has already been an exciting year for us. Our team has grown to 20 members (and still expanding), we’ve moved to a new office in Antwerp, nestled between two beautiful city parks, and we proudly launched our very own Sustainability Academy. Plus, we’ve shared plenty of fun moments as a team along the way!
