Sustainability Consultant

Sustainability is no longer an option, but a necessity. Climate change, regulations, and the growing emphasis on ESG present businesses with complex challenges and opportunities. Do you want to guide companies in their transition towards a sustainable future, contribute to strategic ESG projects, conduct double materiality analyses, and deliver impactful sustainability initiatives? Then we would love to meet you!

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will support clients in their sustainability transition—ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as a baseline, but with ambitions that go much further. You will translate their sustainability goals into tangible strategies, policies, and action plans, focusing on both environmental and social impacts. Using scientific impact assessments, ESG evaluations, and tools such as double materiality and carbon accounting, you will create practical sustainability scenarios. Additionally, you will develop implementation plans, measure the effectiveness of initiatives, and demonstrate the ROI of sustainability investments.

Your Role:

  • Advice and Strategy: Guide clients in developing sustainability strategies, including ESG risk analysis, materiality assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Compliance: Support clients in meeting CSRD requirements by preparing detailed reports and assisting their transition to integrated sustainability reporting.
  • Impact and Sustainability: Propose concrete scenarios and action plans, based on impact assessments and LCA studies, to reduce ecological footprints.
  • Project Management: Coordinate sustainability projects, collaborating closely with clients and our team, while reporting to your team lead and, in the second line, to the COO.
  • Knowledge Development: Continuously expand your expertise in sustainability and regulations, and share your insights within the team.

Why are you a good fit?

  • Of course, like us, you are committed to make a difference for a better world!
  • You have an academic background in environmental science, sustainability, climate studies, sustainability management, or a related field.
  • You have (limited) experience in developing sustainability strategies and implementation plans, including foundational knowledge of carbon accounting, double materiality, and ESG assessments.
  • You are familiar with regulations such as CSRD and understand the principles of creating integrated sustainability reports.
  • You can think strategically and adopt a hands-on approach to make sustainability measures practical and measurable.
  • You are organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of French or German is a plus.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are flexible, and are driven to make an impact.
  • Possess 70% of the above? Give us a call!

Why are we a good fit?

  • A full-time role in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
  • The chance to work with a passionate team that shares your commitment to sustainability.
  • Opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A laptop and phone allowance, and the flexibility to work in a hybrid model (office and home).

Let’s meet!
