Lead Sustainability Consultant

Are you an expert in sustainability strategy with a deep understanding of corporate responsibility?
We are looking for a Lead Sustainability Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will guide our clients through the complexities of sustainable business practices, ensuring they achieve their sustainability goals. Your deep expertise in environmental impact assessment, corporate social responsibility, and compliance with frameworks like CSRD and ESRS will be crucial in driving positive change across various industries.

Job Discription

On a day-to-day level, you will work towards the realisation of various sustainability projects, under direct guidance of our CEO and COO. In addition, you are an important link for setting up the right sustainability strategy, project approach and structure and coordination with our expert team.

Strategic Leadership: Develop tailored sustainability strategies, provide insights on trends, regulations, and best practices, and set long-term goals and KPIs aligned with client objectives.

Client Management: Act as the main contact for clients and maintain relationships, conduct sustainability assessments and identify improvements, present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Project Management: Oversee multiple sustainability projects with quality control, collaborate with internal experts and senior teams, create detailed project plans with timelines and resources.

Technical Expertise

  • Coordinate environmental impact assessments, carbon footprint analyses, DMA, …
  • Advise on ESG strategy building, CSRD ESRS/VSRS reporting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations, standards, and certifications.
  • Prepare and review sustainability reports, including GRI, CDP, and other reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of sustainability initiatives and their impact.
  • Stay updated on emerging sustainability technologies and methodologies.

Training and Development: Mentor junior/medior consultants and client teams on sustainability practices, design and deliver workshops, seminars, and training programs.

Business Development: Contribute to the preparation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.

    • Client Focus: Your strong client management skills ensure that you can build lasting relationships while driving value through sustainability initiatives.
    • Communication: You can articulate complex sustainability concepts to clients and stakeholders, making you a trusted advisor. Correct command of the English language in word and writing is essential, in combination with C1 Dutch AND/OR French.
    • Management: Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring they meet deadlines and stay within budget, sets you apart.
    • Passion: Your commitment to sustainability and your ability to stay ahead of industry trends make you a valuable asset to any team.
