From Reporting to Direction: How ESGpro Makes Sustainability Reporting Workable at Last

ESGpro isn’t just another software tool, De Block emphasises. The platform was built on the experience of dozens of sustainability reports, not on code.

“We combined our consultancy expertise with the efficiency of automation. ESGpro doesn’t start from software logic, but from a simple question: how can we make sustainability practically workable for organisations of all sizes?”

From its launch on 13 November, the platform connects directly with data-integrations such as SBB Accountants & Advisors, Acerta and Fluvius.

“Those integrations make the difference,” says De Block. “Most ESG data already exist, in your accounting system, at your social secretariat or in your energy invoices. We unlock that data automatically and translate it into usable insights.”

A clear starting point through automated pre-assessment

Many companies simply don’t know where to start with ESG reporting. ESGpro begins with a digital pre-assessment: a short questionnaire that automatically identifies the relevant, mandatory and voluntary ESG topics based on sector, size and activity.

“In five minutes you know what’s mandatory, what’s optional and where the biggest impact lies,” De Block explains. “It gives companies direction — before they even start collecting data.”

From data to direction and results

After the pre-assessment, ESGpro gathers the required information through its integrated partners. Only missing data need to be collected and entered manually. The platform recognises, interprets and links data to the correct report sections, fully compliant with the VSME standard.

It also provides calculations for CO₂ emissions (Scopes 1 & 2), social indicators and benchmarking based on anonymised market data.

Built to integrate, not to replace

ESGpro was fully developed by The Ecological Entrepreneur, yet designed to integrate with as many existing systems and partners as possible.

“We don’t want companies to change how they work,” says De Block. “Quite the opposite, we connect to their existing partners and data. Thanks to integrations with SBB, Acerta and Fluvius, ESGpro is practical and applicable from day one.”
